CRIMINAL ACTIVITY IN VENEZUELA
Social Studies For my project in social studies, I wanted to focus on criminal activity. I researched and took a deeper look into where the most crime happens and Venezuela was number one. So major crimes I found were kidnapping, human trafficking, and gang violence. I chose gang violence to look more into so I could read about mostly all crimes. I wanted to find out what was the biggest cause for gang violence?

EnglishFor English, I read the book "In The Shadows Of Papillon" for my project. I want to find a book that is about crime in Venezuela. While reading this book I was looking into the thoughts of a criminal. After I read my book I wrote different journal entries from the girlfriend of the main character in the book. I wrote them based on the thoughts the main character had of her, while they were both in prison.

ArtAfter reading my book for English and writing journal entries based on the perspective of the girlfriend in my book. I chose important lines from them that I really thought resembled her thoughts and feelings. I decided to take those lines and laser prints them onto CDs for my art project.

Social Studies
For social studies, I decided to look into gang violence in Venezuela. I then wrote an article from a gang members perspective, on why a lower-class gang member should take over Venezuela. I did lots of research in order to find facts I could include. I also found real-life experiences and stories of people who were kidnapped for examples in my news article.
English
For English, I read the book "In The Shadows of Papillon". While I was reading my book I kept a reading log of each chapter of my book. After I finished reading, I took all the times Frank (the main character) talked about his girlfriend Sam, I took her emotions that he was describing, to write journal entries from her perspective.
Art
For my art project, I took very important lines from the journal entries I wrote. Then I laser print them onto CDs. The lines on the CDs are written by the perspective of the girlfriend in the book.
